Hawke’s Bay Trout Fishing – as good as it gets!
Trout fishing in Hawke’s Bay is equal to the best anywhere in New Zealand. A variety of angling is on offer from spinning through to nymph, lure or dry fly fishing. Local rivers include the Tukituki, Esk, Mohaka, Ngaruroro and Tutaekuri.

These rivers offer both rainbow and brown trout and a massive variety of different waters, from the fast and rugged Mohaka to the more sedate Tutaekuri River. Your clients can experience the thrill of landing a trout from one of our many well-stocked and beautiful rivers away from the main fishing traffic in the central North Island.

Helicopter access to the most remote Hawke’s Bay back-country rivers can also be arranged for the ultimate fishing experience. There are a number of local guides who operate and Brigid Ormond of Long Island Tours would only be too happy to assist with your arrangements.
